A new opportunity?

With the economic downturn, it is a Web 2.0 bubble which might be bursting next, shortly 8 years after DotCom boom ending.

Does it represent a new opportunity for drop catchers, when current drops of good domain names have almost completely dried out?

I think it does.

Ironically, last week I caught a good generic .co.uk domain which I firstly caught back in 2006. Not long later I sold it for about £4,500 and wouldn’t even imagine that a seemingly stable company would get out of business so quickly.

And while domain name after market has slowed down for the moment and PPC revenue nose-dived, we know that this has no drastic effects on the value of our portfolios in the long-term and that it is far from the end of a good times for domainers.

Amen.

Can you say which domain it was…. out of curiosity?

If you watch drops (and I know you don’t just watch;), it dropped on the 4th of Oct and was a single dict word.
